id Century Modern is what I want to talk about today. Wow, I cannot believe it has been such a long time since my last post, more than a month has passed. The reason for this lacuna is a huge amount of visualisation work I have done for a project developer. For which I did the digital interior design as well.
But more about that in a later post, after my client has gone public with this project.
Mid Century Modern is one of the styles, amongst others, that I used for some of the digital interior design. I can’t wait to share the end-result with you. I love the clean, uncluttered lines. The skewed feet of a table, the bronze details here and there. Functionality and glamour combined. And isn’t it great that all these golden oldies are re-discovered again? No updates necessary as the designs are as perfect as they have always been. Any small alteration to the design and the whole thing falls apart. That’s one of the characteristics of perfect “high” design.
So, in anticipation of my recent visualisations and digitial interior designs, here is some real (as opposed to virtual) Mid Century Modern eye candy, enjoy!

lassic Modern Mix, don't you just love this combination? This mix of modern designer furniture in classic, light and old buildings? Imagine a room with white-washed wall panelling, high ceilings, a marble mantelpiece, an antique guilded mirror and so on. This room would look stuffy and boring with matching period…
