Classy candleholders come in all sorts of forms. Personally, I like the minimal ones, done in precious materials such as marble, bronze and other precious metals. Even without sporting a candle they are objets d’art on their own. On the other hand, I like the brass antique ones as well, especially a whole bunch together set on an old farmer’s table. Which style of classy candleholders do you like best?

Those high-quality sleek, minimal cupboards made of precious woods like walnut, rosewood or teak are not only aesthetic to the eye, but so handy and practical as well. Great for creating a vignette of your current favourite things, practical for storing your mess out of sight.

Cool and glamorous, his designs are considered to be to furniture what Marc Jacobs or Tom Ford are to fashion. In fact, Broom has a background in fashion, with a degree in fashion design from Central St Martin college in London.
onochrome interiors are a trend that has been going strong for a while now. As a 3D Artist I am using this style more and more for interior visualisations. Monochrome, or black and white, is so easy on the eye and a great base to add some splashes of color here and there. In the real world this applies too.
he Panton Chair, also known as the S-chair, has been around since the 1960’s. It is a creation of the Danish multi-talent Vernon Panton. Panton is considered to be one of Denmark’s influential 20th Century furniture and interior designers. He worked mostly with plastics in bright and exotic colors.
utdoor dining is one of my favourite things to do. And since it’s my birthday today, that is exactly what I will do! I love those long, boozy al fresco lunches or dinners, right in the middle of nature on a warm summer’s day. Lots of strings with lightbulbs in the trees, abundant candlelight on the table, add some flowers, throw in some pillows and you’re good to go.

And with plants we bring some of that nature back into our homes. But there are so many plant species, which should we choose? Well, in general I prefer green-only plants, with interesting leaves, maybe mixed with a bit of off-white delicate flowers.
n outdoor fireplace is such a great thing for little pyromaniacs such as yours truly. I love building big fires, a thing I indulged in a lot when I was still living in South Africa. Although we did have central floorheating in the house, I preferred to wake up the house by building a fire first thing in the morning.
