Aarabian Style Interiors make me long even more for those swelteringly hot summer days (and nights!). The ornamental and colorful characteristics are something completely different from the bare, monochrome Scandinavian and Mid Century styles that I like so much too. Oh well, I guess it is just proof that there’s more to a person’s taste and preferences than one can tell at first sight.

Dde Tandwielenfabriek (the GearWheelFactory) is a project-development by Buro Amsterdam. It is an old factory, right in the middle of the old city-centre of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Buro Amsterdam has created 12 appartments with an über-cool industrial loft vibe. Double-volume ceilings with lots of glass filling the spaces with abundant daylight. Outside terraces on the ground and upper floors for a relaxed lifestyle with summer bbq’s and sundowner drinks.

Nnorman Cherner is the mastermind behind those elegant and shapely chairs made of curved plywood, also known as the Cherner Chairs (and not to be confused with the similar Pretzel Chairs by George Nelson). The Cherner Chair was originally launched in 1958 by US company Plycraft and stayed in production until 1970.

Cclassic blue, or True Blue is one of the Top Ten colors selected by Pantone for 2015. The name says it all: it is a classic that will come back again and again. This color reminds me of those true blue summer skies and the mediterranean sea. You can find it in Chinese tableware, Dutch Delfts Blauw porcelain and of course denim jeans.
