Hi Rachel, I guess the Pantone people are right after all 🙂 Blush Pink is passé (though I still love the color and would use is anyway). Violet has been around in the early, colder months over here in Europe, especially in lush velvets. Still, it’s all so personal, if it’s up to me you can use any color you like (as long as it’s not a drab brown ha ha)

I found your blog after searching for Pantone Ultra-Violet decor. I want to paint my front door purple and was looking for ideas on shades. Pantone’s colors usually take a year or two to trickle down so I don’t think it is fair to say they chose incorrectly yet. They chose rose quartz 2 years ago so I think they were ahead of the ‘blush’ craze, not behind at all.
