Ooutdoor dining is one of my favourite things to do. And since it’s my birthday today, that is exactly what I will do! I love those long, boozy al fresco lunches or dinners, right in the middle of nature on a warm summer’s day. Lots of strings with lightbulbs in the trees, abundant candlelight on the table, add some flowers, throw in some pillows and you’re good to go.

What’s on the menu? Start with a fresh gazpacho, followed by some light salads, soft runny French cheese with Italian ciabatta bread, seared tuna fish  or a large fillet of beef with some couscous on the side, and finish off with my favourite dessert: Eton Mess (a mountain of sweetened whipped cream, crushed merengue and fresh raspberries). All this accompanied of course with endless magnums of bubbly and rich red wines 🙂
