3D visuals for property is a tool more and more real-estate agents are using these days to help sell properties. Especially when these properties are still in the building fase. Buyers often have difficulty seeing the potential and what a space can finally look like. That’s where VKV Visuals (me) comes in. Creating appealing visuals with realistic interior design plans, that can actually be executed for real (also by me), are one of my favorite things to do and have been doing for a long time.
Animal prints in interior design can be a tricky one. If done wrong, animal prints can make a room look tacky and kitsch. The trick is to use these prints sparingly. By giving that old antique armchair a new upholstery in an animal print, it will go from boring to a unique, eye-catching piece.
Ultra Violet has been chosen as the Color of the Year 2018 by Pantone. And since this is my first post in 2018, I thought it a fitting subject. If you ask me Ultra Violet is a bit of a déja-vu. I have already written some posts about Violet and Aubergine (same color family) here and here.
The Utrecht chair is a design of Dutch designer Gerrit Rietveld. And although the design dates back to 1935, this chair is still being used by interior designers all over the world for high-end projects.
Worn leather furniture, usually in tan colors, add a touch of warmth in these mostly monochrome interiors. All these interiors have a minimal, Scandinavian vibe going on, which I love. Quirky art and tastefully arranged bookcases add a personal touch. Materials used are mostly wood, steel, glass and worn leather.
Bachelor pads are something else completely. Full of sturdy, masculine vintage tan and black leathers, steel, bare brick, concretes and dark colors, they ooze cool and a nonchalant messyness. A vintage Mid Century piece here, punchbags, weights or even a Harvey careless hung, placed or parked somewhere else, mancave style.
Blush Pink Interiors for spring is still the vibe right now. Also known as Rose Quartz, it was the official color of 2016. Personally, I tend to think that pink is for little girls, but these pics prove that blush pink interiors can be totally perfect. And that I may be a bit prejudiced…
An Amsterdam loft is the latest project I just finalised. As you may know I am, besides an interior-design blogger, also a 3D Artist. My blog actually helps me make sense of all the trends and hypes in interior-land. So that I can create my 3D Artist Impressions with added creativity and informed interior design choices.
The Samsung Serif TV is the result of a collaboration between the talented designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and the household electronics brand Samsung. Because the frame of the TV looks like the letter “I” with serifs in profile, hence the name Serif.
Bare brick walls can be such a treasure for you to your home… while it can also be an eye-sore to others… basicly, it’s all in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I love bare brick walls, as they add a quirky quality, an imperfection that makes a room interesting.
